Appeal a Berkshire Parking Ticket

Last updated: March 2026

Berkshire is divided into six unitary authorities, each running its own parking enforcement. The main areas generating PCNs are West Berkshire (Newbury), the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Bracknell Forest, Wokingham, Slough, and Reading (covered in a separate guide). This guide covers the wider Berkshire area.

Enforcement Approach

Each Berkshire unitary authority operates its own civil parking enforcement. Windsor sees heavy tourist enforcement around the Castle, while Newbury, Maidenhead, and Bracknell have town centre and station area restrictions. Ascot racecourse generates event-day penalties. Penalties are £50–£70, halved within 14 days.
